Muriel Bernadine Anderson, 97, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late John Edward Anderson. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Genevive (Rourke) Watson.

Muriel worked as an Assembler for Anson Inc. for twenty-five years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Providence and actively volunteered in many of the church’s organizations. Devoted to her family and her faith, Muriel’s greatest joys were her grandchildren and her church community.

She is survived by her beloved children, John E. Anderson (Karen Field Anderson) of Exeter and Muriel J. Anderson (John L. Kilguss) of The Villages, FL, her sisters, Barbara Baxter of Coventry and Carol Lang of San Antonio, TX, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Joseph James Watson and William Watson.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 445 Elmwood Avenue, Providence. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Warwick.

Visitation will be held at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 4:00PM-7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 445 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
